First off, this little NAS is sweet! To name a few of the features:
- NFS
- iSCSI
- CIFS
- FTP
- RSYNC Server
- AFP
And the list goes on and on... Not to mention it looks inconspicuous.
So I wanted to add an NFS mount to my ESX host, to do so:
- get logged in to your ix4-200d
- Click on Settings

- Click on Network Services

- Click on NFS

- Check the two boxes Enable NFS Service and Allow root account access

- Click Apply
- Next click on Shared Storage
- Click Add
- Enter the name of your new share and click Apply

- Click Add Storage on your ESX host
- Enter the server, folder, and datastore name

- Verify your storage is present

- Click Next
