How to extract VMware Tools from the ESX installtion CD

I mounted the ISO to my favorite linux distro within lab manager, copied vmware-esx-tools-4.0.0-2.17.261974.i386.rpm to the virtual machine. Then ran the following command:

rpm2cpio vmware-esx-tools-4.0.0-2.17.261974.i386.rpm | cpio -idmv

ESX host on different vlan in same cluster?

 When adding an ESX host to an existing cluster, that is on a different VLAN, you must use the following HA advanced setting 

das.bypassNetCompatCheck True
